United Way's Goals for the community
This year, more than ever, examining the past has directed us toward the future. And we know the picture these statistics paint will not improve if we don’t act in a bold and decisive way with transparency and accountability guiding every step we make.
Making the results of the Community Needs Assessment is the first of many steps we’re taking to bring donors, agencies and the public into our processes. COVID-19 eliminated the possibility of an in-person Annual Meeting, but moving the meeting online makes our vision, past accomplishments, and future goals available to more people.
With higher visibility comes increased accountability. We want the public to know our plans for giving, the reasons behind our decisions and the results we achieve. Everything we do will be measured against these questions:
- How are we helping children be prepared to learn and grow at school?
- How are we connecting adults to career pathways that provide a living wage?
- How are we connecting senior citizens to resources that provide basic needs and decrease effects of isolation?
