What are Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES)?

Adverse childhood experiences, or ACEs, are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years). Examples of ACES include experiencing violence, abuse or neglect, divorce, and witnessing violence in your home or community.
