Black families are more likely to rent

Nearly two-thirds of the housing units occupied by Black households are rented, compared to less than 30 percent of white households.

NOTE:

Redlining policy from the 1930s has ensured that today in 2020 Black residents are more than 3 times as likely to live in poverty than white residents of Cuyahoga County.
