Will United Way of Greater Cleveland continue to help people in need?

Of course. The changes we’ve undergone through our business transformation all had one specific purpose in mind—to help people in need in more effective and lasting ways than ever before. We will continue to support our Impact Institute initiatives, including the Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition and our partnership with Legal Aid on the Right to Counsel program, and the Community Hub for Basic Needs, which includes our essential work through 2-1-1 HelpLink.

2-1-1 HelpLink provides immediate access to services available at more than 16,000 government, health and human services programs across Greater Cleveland for anyone who needs resources such as housing support, utility assistance and access to food.

Any individual, at any time in need of help can call 2-1-1 and connect with a specialist who will determine the best solutions for their immediate needs. This is the only service of its kind and magnitude in Cleveland, and we’re committed to providing this vital community resource for people in need.
