We can rattle off percentages such as…51% of children, 22% of elderly people and 30% of working age folks are in poverty.
But looking at the situation like that that ignores the reality of the story which is: Not all families here are given the same chances to have a wholesome narrative.
Some of us Clevelanders are fighting to keep a roof over our heads. Some of our children are being robbed of the chance to be the next big entrepreneur. And some of us are having to choose between food or utilities.
We know we can’t change what’s already happened, But we know we can help write a new chapter: One where each and everyone of us has the tools and opportunities to rise above poverty.
