What are Adverse Childhood Experiences?

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (birth-17 years).

ACEs include experiences of physical and emotional abuse, neglect, caregiver mental illness, household violence and divorce. ACEs can have a lifelong impact on mental and physical health and negatively impact academic success and future employment status.
